At nearly every stop on our tour of Israel, the Pastor lead us in devotions. This is a list of the hymns we sang, noted in our LSB (Lutheran Service Book, Concordia Publishing House, 2006). Looks like we might have missed a few notations.

Dec 6

Dec 7
- Go to Dark Gethsemane, page 436 (Gethsemane)

Dec 9

We haven't moved to the LSB at our church, but I wish we would. I really like it.
Two evenings, we joined together for Compline, the Prayer at the Close of the Day. It's a beautiful devotional, very quiet and settling. It ends with the Nunc Dimittis (Song of Simeon), a very favorite set of verses for me ... Lord, now let your servant depart in peace...
The photo above is of John, reading the scripture for this stop at Mt. Tabor. John, 86, and his wife, Lois, were a constant inspiration to us on our trip.
